Marilyse spent time back in Beverley with her sister and friend, Sarah, who she confided in for advice on her relationship.

She mulled over whether it was right for Franky to leave his life of over 16 years in Dubai behind to move back to the UK for her.

When asked whether time apart had brought them closer together, Marilyse replied: “I’m unsure, maybe I am better on my own.

“I don’t want to lead him on in anyway. I need to do a lot of thinking and make sure my decision is the right decision for both of us.”

The couple were reunited in a scene where they would deliver their updated vows amongst a romantic setting of flowers and trees.

The tense moment left Married at First Sight fans questioning which way the meeting between the couple would go.

Franky read his vows first and chose to stay married to Marilyse, ending his vows by saying “I love you Marilyse,” before she let him know her decision which would seal their fate as a couple.

She said: ” I really don’t want to hurt you, but we have had a few struggles mid way, which did make me question our relationship.

“I didn’t know if we were right for each other, but I do want you to be part of my world.”

She continued: “So let’s take each and every day as it comes.

“Thank you for being my husband in this experiment, I couldn’t have gone through this with anyone but you.”

Since both chose to remain married, the pair will continue their journey together as a wedded couple.

At the end of the episode, Franky branded his wife his “soul mate” and said “let’s go live the rest of our lives together,” while Marilyse gushed “I’ve got everything I want in Franky.”
