Long-standing Coronation Street character Leanne Battersby is doing all that she can to protect son Simon Barlow from drug lord Harvey, but her actions mean a scaring horror on the cobbles.
In upcoming episodes, Leanne (Jane Danson) is instructed by Harvey (Will Mellor) to deal more drugs and the mum becomes more wrapped up in the dealing world.
She stashes her burner phone and nurse’s uniform before telling Harvey she wants out. But Harvey tells her she’s a success and wants to move her onto bigger deals.
But, it all goes wrong when a police officer knocks on her car window making her panic about recent actions. Is Leanne hiding something she has done?

Things take a dark turn when Leanne causes a death.
Later on, Harvey drops off more drugs with Leanne and orders her to put on her nurse’s uniform and get out there, leaving Leanne feeling totally trapped.
She listens to him however along the way a woman approaches her and asks her to help a man who’s collapsed at the tram station, Leanne is horrified.
Having escaped the awkward encounter, Leanne has finally had enough and refuses Harvey’s latest drop off.
After a heated argument with Harvey, Leanne sees no other way out and reports him to the police – but is horrified when she is arrested instead.
Simon returns home wondering where she has gone.
Leanne covers for Simon and lies that he never made any deliveries. The police inform her that they’ve had their eye on Harvey for a while and want Leanne’s help to put him behind bars.
Later, Harvey threatens Leanne to complete the drop off and she heads out with the drugs, unaware that Simon has followed her.
As she awaits the dealer, Simon confronts her about what’s going on.
Leanne begs him to go home and promises to tell him everything later, but how will he react to the truth?
