A new street food stall serving Japanese, Thai and Korean dishes has arrived in Hull – and it’s already proving popular.
Panku Streetfood, owned by Yo Sushi, is the latest offering for Hull foodies looking for something a bit different.
This grab-and-go stall is located in the heart of Asda Mount Pleasant and offers something for everyone.
Panku opened its first store during the Covid-19 pandemic and has gone from strength to strength.
The Holderness Road branch is the 100th stall to open.
Elle Maddison, 26, who runs the kiosk, said: “It’s been a lot more popular than we expected.
“Sushi is such a big deal to some people – there’s so much more to it than just raw fish.”
In fact, raw fish is just a small part of what this kiosk has on offer. There’s salmon, chicken, prawn and vegan options – as well as authentic seaweed.
You can order both hot and cold food and the kiosk wants to cater to everyone.
“We want customers to give us ideas, we have so many products on offer and we’re always open to feedback,” said Elle.
“I’d really like to get a customer base we see every week, they say hi to us and we all know who each other are.
“I think hull is culturally diverse and people want to try new things and this gives them the opportunity to do that.”
