New Starbucks drive-thru is opening in Hull

A new Starbucks drive-thru is opening next to the Asda store in Hessle Road.

It comes after plans were submitted to the council for part of the west Hull store’s current car park to include the construction of a drive-thru coffee bar.

A decision to give the go-ahead on the new outlet was made by the council in summer 2020.

Now that the plans have been accepted, the coffee chain are offering five full-time positions and 15 part-time jobs.

Work is already underway, with a sign appearing at the site of the construction which reads “opening soon”, teasing customers with an image of a barista with a Starbucks coffee in hand.

The sign also informs people that the new drive-thru are recruiting for staff and asks passers-by to send their CV to starbucks.careers@eurogarages.com.

The drive-thru is expected to be a similar operation to that of the Starbuck’s in Clough Road in north Hull. An official opening date has not yet been set.
