The Chase’s Shaun Wallace bites back after insult

The Chase saw fighting talk between Chaser Shaun Wallace and a contestant.

Contestant Ellen was joined by Kevin, Josh and Neha on today’s (Tuesday’s) show, hoping to win as much money as possible.

The housing officer from Worthing, the Liverpool Echo reports went first and had some strong thoughts on who should would do best against.

She said: “I’m part of a drama group for Shakespeare actors, the last drama we did was A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

After securing £4000 in the cash builder, it was time for Ellen to face The Chaser.

As host Bradley Walsh listed the chasers – and adding his own sarcastic comments as usual, he asked Ellen who she would like to take on.

She responded with: “I think Shaun. Where his gaps are I might have a bit of knowledge.”

Bradley was stunned by the comment – and so were fans.

However Shaun wasn’t phased by her comment as she was gearing up to face him.

Andi tweeted: “It’s going to need to be pretty big gaps!” Thomas said: “Yes!! It’s Shaun and his gaps”, followed by cry-laughter emojis.

Pan joked: “I’d like to take on Shaun cos he’s the thickest…..”

And Joanne said: “Deluded.” When Shaun appeared, Bradley told him what Ellen had said.

But unphased, Shaun responded when he was revealed as the Chaser for this episode, saying: “I heard.

“Forget Midsummer Night’s Dream, you’re about to have a late afternoon nightmare.”.

  • The Chase returns weekdays from 5pm on ITV.
